The winner of the 9th Annual Sunny Isles Beach Jazz Fest Poster Art Contest is Florida resident, Adorable Monique. Known for her bold, vibrant acrylic studies of culture and nature, she says, “…my work invites you to look for meaning beyond color.”
Adorable is based in this country, but was brought up in Central America and studied at La Universidad Pedagogica Nacional Francisco Marazan in Honduras. Her mentor there helped to enrich her artistic vision. Growing up surrounded by different cultures also expanded her overall view of life. Her personal intention with the art she creates is to express identity and cultural heritage along with “the core value of the spirit of nature.” She is inspired by the beauty around her and appreciates “the noble values of life.” Sunny Isles Beach is thrilled to have this beautiful artwork, “Rising Notes”, represent the spirit of our jazz event which supports musical, artistic expression.
