City Parks are WiFi Hotspots

Now it is as normal to go to one of our city parks and connect to the internet as it is to walk, exercise or relax there. Since July 14, 2008, all city parks are WiFi Hotspots where internet connectivity is FREE, wireless and commercial-free.

The city parks include:
• Bella Vista Bay Park, 500 Sunny Isles Blvd.
• Pier Park, 16501 Collins Ave.
• Samson Oceanfront Park, 17425 Collins Ave.
• Town Center Park, 17200 Collins Ave.
• Senator Gwen Margolis Park, 17815 North Bay Rd.
• Golden Shores Community Park, 201-191 Terrace
• Pelican Community Park, 18115 North Bay Rd.
• Heritage Park, 19200 Collins Ave.

Please be reminded that this is an open network. Make sure that any system you are using for internet connectivity has all of the proper security features enabled. We encourage everyone that is going to use this open network to install anti-virus and anti-spyware software, as well as a software firewall.
